Competitive and Performance Jump Rope Team
The Competitive team travels throughout BC and across Canada to compete at the Provincial and National competitions respectively. The Skipping Sensations are Provincial and National Champions in several individual and team events. The team has travelled around the world to the UK, Hong Kong, Florida, Japan and more to represent team Canada at the World Championships. Beyond competing, the team is dedicated to the community doing many Jump Rope For Heart shows and various community events to share the sport and it's benefits!
Our Story
Founded in 1990 by former head coach, Deirdre DeGagné, The Abbotsford Skipping Sensations is a group of dedicated rope jumpers who take the sport of skipping to new heights.
For the past thirty years, this team of 5 to 26 year olds have represented Abbotsford at local, provincial, national and international competitions. In addition, the team performs at community events, teaches jump rope camps and workshops, and has hosted several National Championships in Abbotsford.
