Competitive and Performance Jump Rope Team
The Competitive team travels throughout BC and across Canada to compete at the Provincial and National competitions respectively. The Skipping Sensations are Provincial and National Champions in several individual and team events. In 2010 the team traveled to the UK to compete in the World Rope Skipping Championships, and in 2014, four members of the Skipping Sensations traveled to Hong Kong, for the World Rope Skipping Championship where they competed in a variety of individual and team events. Athletes also competed in Orlando, Florida in the World Jump Rope Championships. Senior girls on the team also traveled to Thailand for a service trip.
Our Story
Founded in 1990 by former head coach, Deirdre DeGagné, The Abbotsford Skipping Sensations is a group of dedicated rope jumpers who take the sport of skipping to new heights.
For the past thirty years, this team of 5 to 23 year olds have represented Abbotsford at local, provincial, national and international competitions. In addition, the team performs at community events, teaches jump rope camps and workshops, and has hosted several National Championships in Abbotsford.
